Shibuya, Japan's Halloween atmosphere serves as the backdrop. A wedding ceremony was happening specifically at the Shibuya Hikarie building. Miwako Sato appeared there dressed in a bridal gown.
As Wataru Takagi defends Miwako from the invader, who comes suddenly, he gets hurt. Meanwhile, the serial bomber who killed Jinpei Matsuda (whom Miwako adores) in the event three years ago manages to flee.
Rei Furuya, who was Jinpei's classmate at the police school, finds the offender, but a masked figure wearing an explosive collar lays a collar bomb on his neck. Conan attempts to deactivate the neck bomb after learning from Rei about the incident that occurred three years prior.
